Field Status Ailments are effects that hinder or impair your abilities when traversing the Overworld. Some, but not all, have in-battle consequences. Basically, they are multi-turn ailments that do not last only in 1 Battle.

Poison – Causes you to lose health every turn equal to your level. Can be cured by using the item Panacea, going to Dokapon Castle or any of the Temples, using the Defensive Battle Magic Super Cure, or using the battle skill Prayer. Poison cannot kill the player, taking them down to 1 HP; afterwards, it will deal 0 damage each turn (unless the player's HP goes back above 1).
Curse – Causes the player to randomly attack themselves in battle. Can be cured by using the item Soul Mop, going to Dokapon Castle or any of the Temples, using the Defensive Battle Magic Super Cure, or using the battle skill Prayer.
Note: Curse is technically considered a "Battle Ailment," but it persists outside of battle. However, it's effects only apply in-battle.
For some reason, sometimes the player will receive it randomly, it's probably a serious glitch.
Lock – Disables Items and Field Magics use on the world map. Can be cured by going to Dokapon Castle or any of the Temples, using the Defensive Battle Magic, Super Cure, or using the Battle Skill, Prayer. Usually lasts around 5 turns before eventually going away.
Fear – Prevents the player from landing on any space that would guarantee a battle, meaning other players or monster-occupied towns. Can be cured by using the item Panacea, going to Dokapon Castle or any of the Temples, using the Defensive Battle Magic Super Cure, or using the battle skill Prayer. Usually lasts around 5 turns before eventually going away.
Footsore – Makes the player only able to move one space at a time on the world map (preventing operation of the Spinner), and prevents the use of movement-enhancing Items. Can be cured by using the item Panacea, going to Dokapon Castle or any of the Temples, using the Defensive Battle Magic Super Cure, or using the Battle Skill, Prayer. Usually lasts around 5 turns before eventually going away.
Paralysis – Makes the player move to the spot they are currently on, leaving them unable to move for one turn. Paralysis only lasts for one turn.
Z Plague – Chimpies from the Chimpy outbreak sub-event will induce this effect upon contact with your character (when the Chimp uses Attack or Strike). Z Plague will deal double the Poison effect's damage each turn, and prevents you from healing HP when levelling up. You can pass the plague onto other players by passing by them like a Thief. Only a Miracle Serum, a visit to Dokapon Castle, or death will cure it.
Doom – This can only be cause by an Adventurer casting Death Call on you. If so, you will have 7–10 days to defeat the caster, otherwise you will die, and be out for 3 turns (2 turns if you are in a dungeon).
Sleep – If you are out of battle, you forfeit your turn. If you are in battle, and you don't wake up (random), you are helpless against any attacks, as you cannot use ANY Battle Commands.
